Our topics

Rehabilitation

  • Rehabilitation: We provide hundreds of thousands of people with physiotherapy and help with prostheses, wheelchairs or other aids.
  • Prevention and health: We take care of equal access to the health system for all people — a central basis for participation in society.

Political work and campaigns

  • We fight against mines and cluster bombs as well as against bombing attacks on the civilian population. We clear explosive remnants of war and clarify the dangers.
  • For example, we want to use campaigns and political lobbying to make humanitarian aid and development cooperation more inclusive.

Inclusion

Handicap International is committed to the academic, professional and social integration of people with disabilities in around 60 countries.

Disaster and Refugee Relief

We provide inclusive emergency aid after earthquakes, tsunamis or armed conflicts. Disabled people and others in need of special protection must not be forgotten! We are also developing measures and early warning systems to make disaster risk reduction more inclusive.
